Print literary magazines available for checkout:

  • BWR/Black Warrior Review: Oldest continuously-run literary journal produced by grad students, publishing fiction, nonfiction, poetry, comics, and art. 
  • Creative Nonfiction: Contains short stories, essays, prose, interviews with writers and editors, pieces on creative nonfiction, etc. 
  • DRAFT: the Journal of Process: Stories, first drafts, interviews with authors. Interested in techniques, approaches, and "everything that goes into crafting a great piece of creative writing." 
  • Granta: Showcases "the world's best writers on to one aspect of the way we live now." 
  • Ninth Letter: From  U. Illinois Urbana-Champagin. Work published in Ninth Letter frequently selected for awards (Pushcart Prize, Best American Nonrequired Reading, etc.).
  • Poetry: Poetry, commentary news notes, and lists of recently published books published by the Modern Poetry Association. 
  • Rattle: Poetry and interviews with contemporary poets. 
  • Yellow Medicine Review: Stories, essays, poems, scholarly articles, reviews, short plays, novel excepts, letters, and more related to Indigenous Literature, Art, and Thought.
