Lavery Library Under the Steeple

You can find us at Lavery Under the Steeple in Kearney Hall, Room K050.

K050 is on the ground floor of Kearney Hall, near the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Service Desk. You can enter through the accessible entrance near Wegmans School of Pharmacy or use any of the entrances to Kearney and take the elevator or stairs to the ground floor.

Lavery Under the Steeple Services Information

Most library services will remain the same while we are in our temporary home at Lavery Under the Steeple (Kearney 050).

We will be keeping the Lavery Library website up to date with the latest information about services such as course reserves, Research Help, Interlibrary Loan services, and more. For questions about the renovation, you can visit Fisher's Library Modernization and Renovation Project website.

There are just a couple of changes to note.

Use Request for Pickup to get books from our offsite storage area.

Fisher students, faculty, and staff can still borrow books during the renovation.

  • You can browse a small part of our collections at Lavery Under the Steeple in Kearney Hall, ground floor.
  • To access the rest of our circulating collection you can use our Request for Pickup option when searching our Big Red Box. 
  • Want to use Request for Pickup to have us set aside something from our browsable collection for you? You can do that, too! 

Librarians will go to your classroom.

Librarians will visit classrooms for instruction sessions. We will not have a library-based classroom during the renovation.

How to Request for Pickup

  1. Visit the library's home page, and search in the Big Red Box.
  2. Select the book, DVD, or other item to open the detailed library record.
  3. Sign in using your Fisher credentials. 
  4. Under "Get It" you will see Request for Pickup. Select this option. 

You will be notified when your item is ready to pick up at Lavery Under the Steeple in Kearney Hall.

Alternatively, you can email library staff at libaccess@sjf.edu to have an item placed on hold for you.
