Hello! As a St. John Fisher alumna, after working as a K-12 school librarian in Colorado, New York, Vietnam, and Italy, I returned to SJF in the winter of 2016. As the Education and First-Year Program Librarian, I am the liaison librarian to the undergraduate and masters programs throughout the School of Education. I also coordinate the Library’s instruction for first-year students.
As an instruction librarian, I spend much of my time working with various classes to teach information literacy skills and a variety of school-based library topics such as: children’s literature, multicultural literature, primary sources in elementary social studies, reading leveling systems like Lexiles, website reliability, and more. I oversee the K-12 Resource Collection and absolutely love reading children’s and young adult literature.
I enjoy traveling, hiking, and cheering on Fisher athletic teams… but honestly, nothing beats curling up with a mug of tea, a good book, and my rescue dog, Cricket.
