Request an Article: Step by Step

When searching for resources through the Library's collections, you can request items that Fisher does not own through Interlibrary Loan by using the Get It @ Fisher link.

Step 1

Within the library database's search results you see both PDF Full Text links and Get It @ Fisher links, both links help you access full text of an article.

Step 2

Select the Get It @ Fisher link to be redirected to request an article through ILL.

Step 3

Under "How to get it," click on "Request from Interlibrary Loan."

Step 4

You will be prompted to sign in to your ILL account. Once you have done so, you'll be taken to the Article Request form. Check to make sure the form auto-filled correctly and fill in the required fields at the bottom. Submit your request when all required fields are completed.

Step 5

Once you submit your request, you will get a confirmation message letting you know that we have received your request! Articles are delivered to your Fisher email with a link to the PDF, usually within 24-48 hours, so be sure to check your email.
