Food Animal Avoidance Residue DatabankIts primary mission is to provide scientifically based expert advice to help mitigate unsafe chemical residues (eg, drugs, pesticides, biotoxins) in products derived from food animals.
FARAD is maintained by a consortium of universities, including the University of California-Davis, University of Florida, Kansas State University,
and North Carolina State University. The program employs veterinary pharmacologists and veterinary pharmacists to evaluate drug depletion profiles in edible animal products.
