Through this library session, students will learn to:

  • create and revise effective database searches for a research topic using a variety of strategies.
  • distinguish between popular, trade, and scholarly sources.
  • evaluate sources based on the suitability for their information need.
  • select articles from an array of choices in online databases that fit the research topic at hand.
  • use citation resources in order to maintain academic integrity.
  • demonstrate a basic ability to thoughtfully organize and store information sources.
